Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is from 12:00 noon and check-out is by 10:00 am. If you arrive before check-in time or need to stay past checkout, ask at reception — we'll accommodate it when the room is free, though it isn't guaranteed on a fully booked day, especially during festival season.

Cancellation Policy

How much you get back depends on how far ahead of your check-in date you cancel:

In plain terms: cancel with a week's notice and you lose nothing; cancel in the last few days and you'll lose part of what you paid; cancel the day before or simply not show up and the booking isn't refundable at all.

Bookings for Janmashtami, Holi, or other major festival dates may carry a stricter cancellation window than the standard policy above, because rooms held for those dates turn away other confirmed demand for weeks. We'll state the exact terms clearly at the time you book for a festival date, before you pay anything.

Refund Policy

Approved refunds are processed within approximately 7 days (about a week) back to the original payment method. If you paid by bank transfer, the refund goes to the same account — we don't refund online or transfer payments in cash. Function hall and event bookings follow a separate cancellation and refund schedule agreed in writing at the time of booking, since catering and staffing commitments for an event are made well in advance of the date.

ID Proof Requirements

Indian law requires every registered guesthouse to record a valid government-issued photo ID for each adult guest at check-in — this isn't a policy specific to us, every legally registered property in India does this. We accept Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving Licence; the name on the ID needs to match the person checking in, and a photo of the document on a phone isn't sufficient without the original for verification.

Foreign nationals must carry the physical passport with a valid visa — not a photocopy — since we're required to record and report those details under local police registration rules (Form C). Children travelling with a parent don't need separate ID, but must be declared at check-in.

House Rules

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours run from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, in the rooms and in the atrium. This is a pilgrim guesthouse next to a working temple with an early Mangala Aarti, and a lot of guests are asleep or getting ready for it well before sunrise. Loud music, phone calls on speaker, and gatherings in the corridors after 10pm aren't permitted.

Guest & Visitor Policy

Only guests registered at check-in may stay overnight in a room. A daytime visitor is welcome in the common areas and the atrium but needs to sign in at reception, and can't stay in the room overnight unless they're added to the booking with their own ID recorded. Extra guests beyond the number booked for a room may mean an additional charge or a request to move to a larger room — occupancy limits are about space and safety, not just billing.

Food & Alcohol Policy

This is a pure vegetarian, Satvik property. Meat, fish, and eggs aren't permitted anywhere on the premises, including in rooms, and we ask guests not to bring any in from outside. Alcohol and smoking aren't allowed anywhere on the property, including rooms and the parking area — this is standard practice for a dharamshala with a temple on-site, not a rule applied selectively. Guests who need to smoke are asked to step off the property entirely rather than use a balcony or window.
